RIDGE
A quote without the phone call
A Denver roofing contractor that answers the price question instead of deflecting it. Five steps from roof shape to a price range and a booked inspection.
The problem
Nearly every roofing site asks you to call for a price. The visitor has no idea whether a job is three thousand or thirty, and calling to find out feels like inviting a sales pitch on yourself.
The price is nowhere on the page. Not a range, not an example, not a rule of thumb. All there is is a form and a phone number.
Why it was a problem
The people who will not call are not uninterested, they are uninformed. The contractor never hears from them, so it reads as weak demand when it is actually a blocked funnel.
And because every competitor has the same gap, whoever answers the price question first wins the enquiry. Not the prettiest site, the first one that answers.
What I did
Moved the price question to the front and made it the main event. Five steps, and the number moves live as you drag the slider.
The screen does not end on a number, it ends on a commitment: pick a slot for the free inspection.
- Five steps: kind of job, property type, area and pitch, insurance, address
- A running estimate that moves with every change, with the breakdown under it
- No account, no password, and every step is shareable by link
- Four service pages from one template, plus a worked case study
- Works end to end on a 390 pixel wide phone
- 87 automated checks run before handover

The screen that does the work. The visitor drags the area and watches the number move with it, because that is the moment someone continues or leaves.

The same flow at 390 pixels. Every step is thumb operable.
