What does it cost to have an online store built?
An online store starts from 1,500 euros and we build it in Shopify. What yours comes to depends mostly on the number of products, but you get one fixed amount up front. Shopify itself you pay on top of that each month, directly to Shopify. Shopify store development
What does a website cost if you are self-employed?
For most self-employed people one strong page is enough to start with, and it starts from 450 euros: what you do, why you, and how clients reach you. If you offer several services, as most tradespeople do, a full website from 900 euros fits better, with a page per service.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, and it happens often. Some people start with one page and extend to a full website later, others start in the middle and grow into a webshop. You pay the difference and the work already done stays. You never start over.
Who hosts my site?
We host it, and that is part of the build. Changes after that run through a maintenance retainer. What it costs we set per client, because one needs ten hours a month and another needs half an hour, and one fixed figure for both always lands wrong for someone. So you get a price that matches your actual amount of work. If you would rather arrange it all yourself, you get every file and put it on your own hosting. Support then falls outside the price.
Why does it say "from" instead of a fixed price?
Because scope differs. Four service pages are more work than one, and supplying your own text brings it down again. What always happens: you are told one fixed amount before anything starts, and that amount does not move afterwards.
Do you charge hourly or a fixed price?
Fixed price, always. With an hourly rate you pay for our learning curve and cannot know the total up front. A fixed amount puts that risk on us, where it belongs.
I already have a website. Can it be improved?
Usually yes, and most of the time the site does not need rebuilding. We measure what goes wrong first, order it by what pays back most, and rebuild only that. There is deliberately no starting price on it, because the scope depends on what is already there. Send your URL and you hear for free what we would do first. How we go about it
Do you work outside the Netherlands?
Yes, wherever in the world your business is. Any country, no exceptions. All the work is remote, so your location makes no difference to the result. The one thing we never do is visit in person, not even locally. Dutch or English, both fine.
What do you need from me?
Your text and your photos. In practice that is the only thing projects ever stall on. If you do not have them, we write a first version for you to correct, which is far quicker than starting from a blank page.
